Earth Day is April 22nd, and in celebration, we have the following events you’re invited to participate in this week:
Wednesday, April 19
Earth Day Beach Clean-up. Join Aruba's Prime Minster Evelyn Wever-Croes along with some of your favorite Bucuti Associates, along with our sustainability partners of the Aruba Airport Authority and local school children (our future!) to comb the beach, keeping it pristine, including for Leatherback sea turtles who began nesting on our beach this season.

Friday, April 21
Recycled Crafts Contest. We invite you to be a judge! Each year in honor of Earth Day, Bucuti Associates tap into their imaginations to create beautiful works of art by recycling items from the resort. Please stop by to cast your ballot for your favorite creation. The winner will be announced at 12: 30 p.m.

EARTH DAY - Saturday, April 22
Nature Preserve Anniversary-commemorating Tree Planting. With the recent debut of The Bucuti – GMC Nature Preserve in celebration of the resort’s 35th anniversary, for Earth Day, 54 trees will be planted by staff and interested guests in honor of this year marking the 54th anniversary of Earth Day.
Be among the first to visit our carbon sink and help reforest it so carbon emissions can be pulled from the air. Please sign up for this event at the Front Desk and gather in the lobby for the 7:45 a.m. bus transfer to the preserve.

Movies Under the Stars. Come snuggle on loungers on the beach and watch the special feature, A Life on Our Planet. Brought to all of us by Broadcaster, Writer, and Naturalist Sir David Attenborough, this inspiring piece is dedicated to caring for one other by caring for the planet.
