Terra by Jeremy Ford is Now Open at Bucuti & Tara
If you love travel that feels meaningful, the kind where every detail is beautiful and nothing is wasted, here is the newest reason to visit Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba.
Terra by Jeremy Ford is now open at Bucuti & Tara, bringing something truly historic to the island. Terra is the first restaurant in the Caribbean led by a chef who helms a restaurant that actively holds both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star.
This means Aruba is more than a part of the conversation in global fine dining. It’s leading it.
What makes Terra different
Chef Jeremy Ford is the celebrated winner of Top Chef Season 13 and a James Beard Award nominee. His Miami restaurant, Stubborn Seed, holds a Michelin Star for culinary excellence and a Michelin Green Star for sustainability, one of the rarest combinations in the world.
Now, that same standard of craft and care has arrived at Bucuti & Tara, the Caribbean’s first and only certified carbon-neutral hotel.
At Terra, the goal is simple and powerful. Create extraordinary food while honoring the island that makes it possible.
A dining experience where land and sea meet in harmony
Terra is built around a circular dining philosophy. In practice, that means ingredients are sourced with intention from the careful selection of the planted seed to the Queen Snapper reeled in from the island’s waters. The menu evolves with the seasons, and the experience celebrates and honors Aruba’s farmers, fishermen and artisans as much as it celebrates the guest.
Every dish is designed as a living story of the island, from microgreens grown nearby to Terra’s handmade ceramic dishes created locally, inspired by Aruba’s wind-shaped terrain.
Choose from a la carte dining or the eight- to 10-course tasting menu, both a culinary journey. Complement each course with artfully composed cocktails that highlight seasonal ingredients and refined balance, creating an experience of understated sophistication.
An intimate restaurant designed for romance
Terra is intentionally small, with just 35 guests per seating, creating a fine dining experience that feels exclusive and comfortable.
Inside, the space is warm and elegant with handcrafted wood, soft golden light and curves inspired by the sands of Eagle Beach.
Doting staff proudly serve more than a meal, they help you create a moment. Perfect for honeymoon dinners, anniversary celebrations, once-in-a-lifetime tasting menus, discerning guests who want a truly elevated Aruba experience and “just because” evenings.
Built with Aruba, for Aruba
A restaurant rooted in community, Terra was developed in collaboration with Maurice and Karim Neme, third-generation pioneers of Aruba’s hospitality industry, along with the team behind Bucuti & Tara’s legacy of thoughtful, laidback luxury.
The kitchen proudly features local chef talent including Jeanclaude Werleman and Moises Ramirez, ensuring the essence of Aruba is present in every dish.
Chef Ford and his team are proud of the relationships they honor daily with local farmers, fishermen and artisans, creating a restaurant that supports the island’s culinary ecosystem.
Palate meets purpose
Terra, along with Bucuti & Tara’s flagship Elements Restaurant, have made the future of fine dining a reality.
At Terra, sustainability is not a marketing line. It’s built into the rhythm of the restaurant, just like its home of Bucuti & Tara, the world’s only hotel to earn the United Nations Global Climate Action Award and the most eco-certifications throughout the Caribbean.
Ingredients are harvested when nature says they’re ready, not when demand insists. The menu evolves with the seasons. The sourcing is intentional. The goal is to give back as much as is taken.
