Caring for Aruba’s Furry Friends

Founded by Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort in 2016, following a proposal by Yesenia Arends, the Stimami Sterilisami Foundation leads Aruba’s island-wide effort to humanely reduce stray animal populations. Established as a foundation in 2018, Stimami Sterilisami provides free and accessible spay and neuter services to create a kinder, safer, and healthier island for all.

Creating a Compassionate Future

Stimami Sterilisami has spayed and neutered over 42,000 cats and dogs, dramatically reducing the number of stray animals on Aruba. These procedures improve animal health, reduce aggressive and roaming behaviors, and relieve the burden on shelters and rescue groups. Each sterilization helps prevent suffering and supports a cleaner, safer, and more compassionate island.

A Founder’s Promise

As the main founder, Bucuti & Tara has supported Stimami Sterilisami from its very beginning. Since 2025, the resort proudly covers 100% of the foundation’s operational costs, ensuring every donation directly funds sterilization services. This ongoing commitment reflects our belief that animal welfare is integral to sustainability and community well-being.
