At Bucuti & Tara, we believe art has the power to connect, inspire and spark conversation. This September, guests staying with us will have front-row seats to Art Week Aruba 2025, the island’s biggest celebration of creativity. Taking place from September 1–7, in Aruba’s art capital San Nicolas, this year’s theme is “Art for Justice,” and it promises to be a week filled with color, deeply felt meaning and captivating experiences.
We’re especially proud that Bucuti & Tara’s Artist-in-Residence, Elisa Lejuez, will take center stage with her brand-new collection, “Themis, the Greek Goddess of Justice.” Elisa’s multi-media art has long decorated our resort including an interactive art gallery.
Timed with Aruba’s annual pinnacle celebration of art, Bucuti & Tara will also be unveiling something very close to our hearts: beautiful silk scarves designed exclusively for us, which will soon be part of our Associates’ uniforms. Together, these two moments showcase just how deeply art is woven into our Bucuti family.
Before we tell you more about Elisa’s big week, we have added special new to share. Our Associates will soon debut a customized new accessory: luxurious silk scarves created in partnership with Maison Ryon Aruba.
Like Elisa Lejuez’s approach, Maison Ryon Aruba shares the same love of storytelling through art. Inspired by Aruba’s vibrant nature and the very landscapes guests travel from worldwide to experience, the design will bring together:
Flourishes of Ixora red flowers and sea grape leaves that brighten our landscapes
Palm trees, soft sand textures, and beach umbrellas, evoking the spirit of our Eagle Beach home
Island wildlife, including the lively Prikichi parrot and the striking yellow-and-black Turpial bird
Brushstroke blues of the Caribbean Sea, calming and endlessly inspiring
Every detail from the striped accents reflecting Bucuti & Tara’s signature look to the playful geometric layouts was thoughtfully chosen to celebrate the essence of Aruba. You’ll soon notice these scarves worn proudly by your treasured Bucuti Associates, a reflection of our deep appreciation for artistic expression in all its forms. Stay tune for the colorful reveal!
On September 3 at 7 p.m., Elisa will present “Themis, the Greek Goddess of Justice” at Art Fashion, one of Art Week’s most anticipated events. With her new label, ART PRINT PURPOSE, Elisa is turning fashion into something bigger than style, it’s about meaning.
Her collection features easy-to-wear, hand-printed pieces for both men and women, complemented by her signature elegant silk scarves. Each design carries a message, encouraging us to think, reflect and embrace justice in everyday life. After the show, guests can browse a pop-up boutique, where Elisa’s limited-edition pieces will be available for purchase.
From hands-on artmaking to dazzling runway shows and a world-class fair, there are so many ways for our guests to be part of this unforgettable week.
Aruba Art Fair (Sept. 5–7): A spectacular three-day finale with over 100 artists, immersive galleries, live demos, murals, performances and international flavors
San Nicolas will be alive with creativity, community and culture, and we encourage our guests to experience the magic firsthand.
When the excitement of Art Week winds down, the creative spirit continues at the world’s most romantic resort. Beginning October 15, Elisa’s much-loved “Wine & Design” workshops return. These sessions are tailor-made for our guests where no painting experience is needed, just a glass of wine, a splash of color and a willingness to have fun.
From the paintings and installations that brighten our spaces to our Bucuti Associates’ soon-to-be new scarves and Elisa’s inspiring collections, art is a living, breathing part of Bucuti & Tara. We’re honored to share these experiences with our guests because we know they create moments of connection, reflection and joy.
If you’re joining us this September, you’re in for a week where creativity and beauty poignantly come together here at our Eagle Beach, adults-only resort. Connect with your personal concierge by emailing concierge@bucuti.com and who welcomes helping you plan your visit to Art Week Aruba.
