A Culture of Reinvestment and Innovation

A Culture of Reinvestment and Innovation

Bucuti & Tara recently unveiled a new stylish entrance and lobby. Despite the substantial investment, arriving guests do not stop there on the way to their room. We’ve debuted a new arrival experience which bypasses the traditional lobby check-in completely. Arriving guests are met at their taxi by one of the skilled concierge team members who, armed with a Tablet PC, conducts the check-in process as all proceed directly to the room. Perhaps the Caribbean’s fastest check-in, Bucuti & Tara Resort guests can immediately begin enjoying world-famous Eagle Beach.

Continual Reinvestment & Preserving the Environment

From humble beginnings 31 years ago, today Bucuti is now the No. 1 Hotel for Romance in the Caribbean (TripAdvisor) and the region’s most eco-friendly resort. This is a result of the vision, persistent follow-through and culture of reinvestment and the continuous flow of repeat guests who make it possible.

Bucuti & Tara steadfastly renovates long before facilities show wear, so every guest can experience the resort at its very best. Over the past five years, over $15 million has been invested in upgrades and improvements to the facility overall and public areas.

“I believe a guest should always walk into a fresh, clean and perfectly maintained resort that is relevant in today’s world of technology and sustainability, so from the first day we opened, we’ve have been committed to continual reinvestment at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort,” says owner/CEO and noted environmentalist Ewald Biemans.  Most importantly, Biemans continues, "A stay with us helps combat climate change, and is better for the enviornment than an equivelent drive vacation.  We’ve made it seamless for our guest’s to leave no footprint, but leave with a memorable vacation."

In addition to the new friendlier lobby, the multiyear, multimillion-dollar renovation has seen the addition of a state-of-the-art fitness center, debut of Elements restaurant an award-winning Caribbean fine dining experience and a major renovation of the 63-room Bucuti wing. The latter included a lengthy environmentally friendly retrofit which lead Bucuti to earn the only LEED Silver certification in the Caribbean. Most recently the new Purun Spa opened with an expanded outdoor, beachside spa services cabana and mediation and yoga cabanas and the total renovation of the 44-room Tara Wing suites and penthouses, lobby and breakfast lounge.

New Front Entrance and Lobby

Guests are invited for a brief stop on the way to their room at the new lobby’s built in Champagne bar to enjoy a refreshing flute along with a warm welcome to the resort.

The new facility reflects the tranquil, romantic atmosphere known to entice couples from around the world. Upon arrival, guests step out to a grand covered walkway, flanked with towering pillars and signature Aruba aloe. The walkway leads to the new contemporary lobby that evokes the laidback luxury reflected throughout the adults-only resort.

No longer needing a front desk, this space has been transformed into the resort’s new concierge lobby. When ready, couples can visit and meet with their dedicated romance and wellness concierges. The quiet, intimate setting allows guests the opportunity to plan their own customized Aruba vacation experience. Bucuti wants its guests to experience the fullness of the island so its concierges are extremely knowledgeable of local offerings that guests staying elsewhere may never discover.
