Sunset Wedding on Bucuti's "Dream Beach of the World"

April 2009- Eagle Beach, Aruba - Bucuti Beach Resort's renown "Dream Beach of the World" was the backdrop for the intimate beach wedding ceremony of Emily and David Bannister from Massachusetts. The couple was blessed by Reverend Robert Gibson as they stood under an arch adorned with flowing linens with the backdrop of a fiery red sunset over the turquoise sea.

Emily and David were officially married at our historical Civil House earlier that afternoon and exchanged wedding vows at sunset on Bucuti's 14 acre powder white beach with an audience of 11 family and friends who flew in for the event.

David, a produce buyer, and Emily, a Bank Marketing associate, originally met at their work place a while back and on February 12, 2008, David surprised Emily when she returned home with her favorite meal (chicken parmesan, prepared himself), Champagne, and the ring. Immediately following their engagement, the couple travelled to Aruba to check out possible wedding venues. "The Bucuti looked like a beautiful wedding location and we had heard so many positive remarks about it from friends back home" shared the couple.

When asked about the aspects of Aruba that Emily and David liked best, they responded: "the gorgeous sunset and the ocean waves crashing behind us. Nashette (our wedding planner), was so wonderful to work with and really made the planning process easy for us. We pretty much just had to show up and she took care of the rest. The service at the Bucuti was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. It was everything we hoped it would be and more".

Mr. and Mrs. Bannister celebrated their honeymoon in one of Bucuti's award winning Tara Beach Suites.
