An Intimate Wedding on Bucuti Beach Resort's renowned Dream Beach of the World

July, 2009- Eagle Beach, Aruba - Mr. Robert Anthony Soto & Mrs. Krista Marie Lopez Soto, exchanged their vows on Bucuti's 14 acres of pristine, powder white beach with a fiery red sun setting behind them. "On a scale of 1 to 10 we rate Bucuti a 10+! " expressed Mr. and Mrs. Soto.

Originally from Gallup, New Mexico the couple now lives in San Diego, California. The couple met 10 years ago and Robert Soto planned the proposal, while he was deployed in Iraq.

While overseas he managed to secretly purchase a beautiful wedding ring from the bride's Uncle, who is a jeweler in New Mexico. Robert was stationed in Iraq for 7 months when he met up with Krista in the magical city of Sedona, Arizona. He arranged a hot air balloon trip for them and during the trip, asked her to be his wife. "It was very romantic, as we waited for the perfect moment, and that was at sunrise!" the starry-eyed bride explained.

The couple opted to celebrate an intimate wedding and a romantic week to follow, with just the two of them. Krista and Robert explain how they chose Aruba and Bucuti" ...through our research on-line, we saw that the beaches were made up of white sand and the water was a gorgeous turquoise color. Bucuti Resort was recommended by our travel agent because we explained to her that we wanted to have a romantic week and to be able to just concentrate on us. We did not want a loud setting around us and Bucuti was the greatest choice we could have made!!! The staff is wonderful! Nashette (our wedding planner) was so helpful! To our surprise, the owner took the time to come congratulate us after the wedding, and that was very much appreciated! Our videographer and photographer did exceptional work!!"

"Aruba is amazing!!!! It is like being in a different world; we cannot wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary! Bucuti is great!" said the smiling newlyweds.

Mr. and Mrs. Soto celebrated their honeymoon in one of Bucuti's award-winning Tara Beach Suites.
