Eagle Beach, Aruba - Brad Snead sent a text message to his best friends shortly after meeting Lauren Oropeza that 'he had found his wife'. Despite growing up in the same neighborhood in Houston, attending the same church and University (Texas A&M),

December, 2008- Friends and family had been trying to introduce the couple for years... Brad finally was curious enough to sit next to Lauren that day at lunch and wondered, what had taken him so long? Two years after their first date on New Year's Eve, 2006, Brad chose the annual Aruba family vacation to propose to Lauren and secretly flew in Lauren's parents for the occasion.

After a lengthy amount of research on the internet for the perfect place for a romantic proposal, Brad chose the Bucuti Beach Resort for its private location and beachfront dining cabana. Lauren's parents were 100 feet away, in view of the romantic event and all enjoyed a reunion filled with happy tears after she said "yes!".

Brad is an attorney with Wright, Brown and Close and Lauren is a high school Spanish language teacher at Cy-Springs High School in Houston. The date has not been set yet but they will settle in Houston after marrying.
