Bucuti's Dream Beach is the site of renewed vows for Virginia couple

October 2006- Eagle Beach, Aruba - Bucuti Beach Resort's renown 'Dream Beach of the World' was the backdrop for an intimate wedding renewal for Mr. and Mrs. Patti and Lee Stang of Leesburg, Virginia.

Patti is a hopeless romantic... after her first date with Lee in August of 1999, she knew that he was the man she would marry. Lee proposed on Christmas morning of 2000 and they were married soon after, spending their honeymoon the summer of 2001 at Aruba's most romantic boutique hideaway, the Bucuti Beach Resort .

Lee is a Branch Chief for the National Weather Service at the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Silver Spring Maryland and Patti is a Contracting Officer for the United States Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. They met when they worked together at NOAA. Lee and Patti have spent every October anniversary in Aruba since their honeymoon and Patti chose their 5th anniversary to surprise Lee with a renewal of their wedding vows.

"At Bucuti, we feel more like family than we do guests" explains Patti. With complete support of the Bucuti staff, Patti organized the renewal and was able to keep it secret from her husband. "Samantha, Bucuti's wedding planner, made it easy!" a smiling Patti exclaimed. Several other couples who are also long time repeat guests of the Bucuti attended the surprise event, friends whom they enjoy to visit with each year in Aruba as well as during get togethers that they plan during the year in the USA.
