Bucuti’s Recycled Xmas Ornaments Contest Winners

December, 2005- Bucuti Beach Resort featuring the Tara Beach Suites and Spa, as part of their ongoing Environmental preservation program, conducted a contest amongst the entire Bucuti team to see who could produce the most creative Christmas and decorations from recycled materials.

Bucuti’s hotel guests were invited to be the judges for the 10 Bucuti entries and all enjoyed the festivities including a Christmas party, surrounding the event.

The first place winner was the Reservations Department Team consisting of Nashette Wouters, Romy Ras and Natasha Spaans. They created a Santa with his Sleigh out of recycled old clothespins, wood stirrers, wedding gift wrappers, baby food jar, colored paper, meat foam container and aluminum cans .

The second place winner was Katharina Geiger who fashioned beautiful Christmas stars out of old newspaper and magazines.

The third place winner was Marin Bijl who made a Game of Backgammon out of wood and beer-bottle caps.
