Aruba Bucuti Beach Resort develops 39 luxury suites
Prime Minister Nelson Oduber breaking ground on the Back Hoe
May 12, 2003- - Eagle Beach ARUBA - - Bucuti Beach Resort - - Aruba’s Prime Minister, Mr. Nelson Oduber climbed aboard a sizable back-hoe today to officially break ground for the Aruba Bucuti Beach Resort’s long awaited new addition, the Tara Beach Suites.
Highly successful with their exclusive focus on the romantic getaway and honeymoon market, Bucuti Beach Resort has enjoyed occupancies of 90%+ since opening in October 1987. Tara Beach Resort was developed to capture the overwhelming excess demand for Bucuti Beach Resort rooms.
Located upon 14 acres of powder white beach, the intimate Bucuti Beach Resort provides guests with a uniquely tranquil vacation experience, away from the crowds of the high rise area. The biggest concern of owner Ewald Biemans in developing the Tara Wing was to expand the resort while retaining the peaceful and natural environment they have become renowned for. “We had the opportunity to build more than 39 suites, but decided against doing so, to retain our high percentage of repeat visitors who choose Bucuti for its intimate and serene atmosphere. We believe the increase to 100 rooms will allow us to deliver the personal service we have established, retain the peaceful environment as well as improve the economy of scale for the business.
Ewald Biemans and Honorable Minister of Tourism, Mr. Edison Briesen
Ewald Biemans was honored as the Caribbean Hotel Association’s 25th “ Hotelier of the Year” last June, selected among 1000 hoteliers in the Caribbean for not only maintaining a successful, quality resort operation in these challenging times, but for his outstanding contribution to the island of Aruba for his island wide environmental preservation efforts. Bucuti Beach Resort is not only certified as Green Globe 21, but has very recently become the first hotel in the America’s and the Caribbean to achieve ISO 14001. Biemans dedicates vast amount of time to Aruba’s environmental preservation and has effected enormous change in all aspects of the community.
A first for Aruba, the Bucuti Beach Resort has dedicated a portion of the website to the new Tara Wing development both to promote the new suites as well as to inform guests reserved for Bucuti Beach Resort this summer about the project and the effect on the existing Bucuti operation. A webcam is directed at the construction site to allow the hundreds of repeat visitors to follow the progress of the Tara development with live photos, updated every 2 minutes.
The stylish and romantically decorated new suites will feature an oceanfront view of Bucuti’s award winning beach (“Dream Beach of the World” since 1989) king size bed, separate living room with in-room internet computer and wet bar, in addition to the standard Bucuti Beach Resort amenities, (mini-bar, in room safe, iron/board, hair dryer, Aruba Aloe products, ceiling fans. Etc.)
“We have several Tara Suites reserved already for 2004” states Biemans. “Several of our loyal guests who spend their annual vacation with us are very excited about the new suites and have set them aside for their 2004 visit”.
