Another tribute to the honesty and integrity of the Aruban population
Dear Bucuti,
March 29, 2005- Mitch and I wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful treatment especially with the Welcome Back Surprise. We really enjoyed our stay at Bucuti so much & hopefully will return next year.
Where can we write an article about one of your employees, Mr. Prince Alexander? You probably heard about my lost wallet on the first day of our arrival at Bucuti (March 15, 2005). We shopped at 3 supermarkets for some groceries, then dined at a restaurant where I was ready to pay with my credit card. But, oh my goodness, I found that there was no wallet in my purse! Mitch then used his credit card to pay for dinner.
We went back to those 3 supermarkets but they were going to close for the night! I begged everyone to find out if they found my wallet and they checked with the supervisors with no luck. We went back to Bucuti, and asked Prince at the front desk if he could help call the credit card companies to report the lost cards.
Oh, yeah, we were so upset! I lost 2 credit cards, medical insurance cards, my drivers license, ATM card, and at least $250! Larissa assured us that there were a lot of honest people on that one happy island who could find and hand over my wallet. As we turned in for the night even though we could not sleep with a lost wallet dancing in our minds, here came the security telling me to go to the front desk.
Prince handed me the wallet and wrote a note that a young man (Nicholas Steen) found it at KH supermarket and had turned it over to Mr. Maduro of the police. Mr. Maduro traced it with the airport customs to find out where we were staying. Bless everyone in Aruba!
I had tears of happiness & gave Prince a big hug! He had been so helpful with everything we asked. He was such a wonderful guy as the others were, too! He is still my only and one Prince Charming. ;-)
Please give him our big thanks! We would not forget him and that night, too. You should be proud of him! By the way, the wallet arrived untouched, all intact.
Thank you so much for making our stay pleasant and marvelous!
Best regards,
Pam Temkin
