Our friendly and knowledgeable concierge team looks forward to welcoming you to Bucuti Beach Resort featuring Tara Beach Suites & Spa and the beautiful island of Aruba! They have maps of the island and a wealth of information on activities, restaurants and things to do to make your visit to Aruba a fantastic one! Here are a few of their suggestions.
Depending upon your arrival time, you may wish to settle in to your room, kick off your shoes and enjoy the sunset and a lovely dinner at Bucuti's restaurant right on the beach. Built as a replica of a 16th century Dutch galleon, the restaurant's romantic outdoor patio is relaxed and gracious and the lighthearted atmosphere perfectly captures both the Aruban spirit and the unique style and flair of the Caribbean. The restaurant offers an extensive American buffet champagne breakfast, soup, salads and sandwiches, a la carte lunch menu, fresh seafood and prime steaks for dinner.
After a restful night's sleep it's time to explore the island. Aruba's southern coastline is famous for its beautiful powder-white beaches -- and there are 14 acres of gorgeous beach conveniently located right in front of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts! The north coast and cunucu (countryside) is dramatically different with its rugged, arid terrain featuring impressive rock formations, cactus and pounding sea. Don't miss Aruba's famous sites including the Natural Bridge, the Natural Pool, Arikok National Park and the Bushiribana Gold Ruins. A great way to experience all this is to take a full- or half-day jeep tour. There are also bus tours for those who prefer air conditioned comfort. After your tour return to Eagle Beach to relax with a frosty cocktail at the Sand Bar before dinner.
Learn how to scuba dive! You can go shore diving or boat diving -- the choice is yours. Aruba is famous for its interesting coral formations, marine life and spectacular shipwrecks. Explore the 400-foot Antilla wreck, a German freighter that was scuttled in 1940 when Germany invaded Holland. It's the largest in the Caribbean and well worth exploring!
Bucuti can recommend several excellent diving companies, whether you're after a big company with extended diving schedules or smaller operations that can give you that extra personal attention. And you can get certified for open water diving in just three days.
Take a resort course and experience a full day of diving. After morning instruction and practice in the swimming pool, you will then get to actually dive to the Pedernales shipwreck at a depth of 25 feet.
A day for romance... Imagine sailing on a catamaran and as evening comes, witnessing the sky turn orange and perhaps even purple in a beautiful sunset. As the sun sinks into the horizon, enjoy complimentary drinks and mingle with others. Afterwards you still have time to go dancing with your newfound friends.
This day you may want to relax on our beach and have your beach attendant serve you refreshing cocktails while you are working on your tan.
There's no better way to explore the ocean surrounding our island than to snorkel! There are daily catamaran snorkeling-sailing trips, departing in the mornings and afternoons. All equipment is provided, and you'll be conveniently picked up and dropped back off at Bucuti.
Your adventure will begin at Palm Beach. You'll be taken to three snorkeling sites, including the famous Antilla wreck, covered with giant tube sponges and coral formations and surrounded by reef fish. On board, lunch, snacks and drinks are served.
For some, this is the day before departure. Enjoy this last full day in paradise again at Bucuti's beach, and remember all the wonderful times you've had with us here.
While some of our guests will continue to experience excitement, relaxation and adventure on an extended vacation, for many of our guests today is departure day. Before you go, don't forget to pass by the Activities Desk to have your picture taken. We'd love to have your smiling face in our Photo Album too.
